North Nibley C of E Primary School is looking for a passionate KS2 Class Teacher to join our team for a maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to teach either Year 3/4 or Year 5/6, depending on the strengths and experience of the successful candidate.

The role includes a subject leadership responsibility, which will be tailored to the successful candidate’s strengths and experience. You will have the opportunity to lead and develop an area of the curriculum, support colleagues, contribute to school improvement and help shape an ambitious, well-sequenced curriculum across the school.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- has Qualified Teacher Status;
- can plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire and challenge pupils;
- creates a positive classroom climate where children feel confident, supported and ready to learn;
- uses assessment skilfully to identify next steps and help pupils make strong progress;
- has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills;
- communicates well with pupils, parents, colleagues and external partners;
- is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children;
- is reflective, ambitious and keen to keep improving their own practice.
We would particularly welcome applications from teachers who are excited by evidence-informed practice, including approaches such as Rosenshine’s principles, I Do, We Do, You Do, and the EEF Five-a-Day.
