Salary: Grade 3, Points 4–6 (£25,380–£26,190 pro-rata)
About the role
North Nibley C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our wraparound care provision, Nibley Nook. This is a key role in helping us provide a safe, happy and stimulating start and end to the school day.
Role will include:
Leading and supporting a range of engaging indoor and outdoor activities appropriate to children’s age and needs.
Preparing and serving safe, nutritious snacks and maintaining a clean, tidy environment.
Supporting children’s wellbeing and behaviour, promoting positive relationships and self-esteem.
Providing a calm space for reading/homework where appropriate.
Following all school policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection.
Being ready to respond to emergency situations and acting as a First Aider (training can be provided if needed, prior to start date).
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children in a school/childcare setting (or similar).
- Communicates well with children and adults and works effectively as part of a team.
- Is organised, calm, proactive and able to use initiative.'
- Is committed to inclusion and supporting children with a range of needs, including SEND.
- Holds a Paediatric First Aid qualification, or is willing to complete this before starting.
